Elio, the 11-year-old dreamer, is an artistic and creative indoor athlete who struggles to fit in. Meanwhile, his mother Olga, the head of a top-secret military project, is working on deciphering extraterrestrial messages from space. But instead of her, it is her son who makes contact and gets beamed up by the aliens. Suddenly, Elio is seen as the chosen intergalactic ambassador of Earth. On this great adventure, he must prove to the aliens, but most importantly to himself, that the best part of being human is being oneself. Animated film by Adrian Molina, making his solo directorial debut after co-directing Coco with Lee Unkrich.
