Rich entrepreneur John Hammond is building an expensive theme park on an island in South America and needs the approval of paleontologists. He lets the dinosaur-loving research couple Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler together with the strange mathematician Dr. Malcolm flies to the island and proudly presents his extraordinary attraction: a park full of living dinosaurs that have been brought to life thanks to prehistoric DNA and the latest technology. The scientists are initially enthusiastic, but Dr. Malcolm also expresses doubts. And he turns out to be right: something goes wrong at the first dress rehearsal of the seemingly perfect sensation, because both the dinosaurs and the people don´t behave as Hammond expected...
