At least since the legendary 31-0 defeat against Australia, the American-Samoan football team has been considered one of the worst national teams ever. Despite losing all 30 games after that, the team refuses to give up the goal of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup. With the help of the American coach Thomas Rongen, the team should be made fit within three weeks. Taika Waititi´s sports film Next Goal Wins is based on the 2014 documentary film directed by Mike Brett and Steve Jamison.
